Do you want to explore the future of organizations with a focus on corporate feminism with like-minded curious co-travelers?
To stay relevant tomorrow, all businesses need to act and think differently from today. Building a sustainable organization for tomorrow means building an organism: Toss away silo thinking and foster a culture of equal responsibility, networks and collaboration. One of the most discussed themes for organizations striving to stay relevant, is the theme of equality and diversity in the workplace. These two forces are vital for innovation and creativity, and therefore vital for organizations who want to stay relevant. That is why one of our main focuses on this trip will be on Corporate Feminism: This has long been a focus and drive in Scandinavian countries, and with the new global attention we have the chance to learn from and connect with each other across (work-) culture and geographical borders, to help each other accelerate.
First of all, this trip is for those interested in building connection and meeting like-minded people working within, and focusing on future organizations and gender equality in the workplace. This is NOT your classical show-around trip, where you get a tour of corporate offices of big Silicon Valley companies. What does this mean to you? In short, it means that all participants are heard in the planning of the programme, so if you know some cool people or businesses that you would like to meet, please do not hesitate to contact Tour Responsible, Kristine Moe Sirnes, to discuss your ideas. We are interested in talking and discussing concepts and ideas with real people involved in organizational change and equality – not a tour around the company to see how amazing their office cubicles look. This way, the trip is your opportunity to connect and build your own network with the co-travellers and the people and organizations we’ll meet in San Francisco.
- When: October 29th to October 31st 2019
- Where: San Francisco – Palo Alto
- Programme: We’ll visit two companies each day and end the day with a session, where we’ll discuss what we learned from the meetings. You’ll receive notes from these meetings, so that you are sure to have something palpable to bring back to your colleagues, and it will be useful for your own personal development within the field. Specific programme will follow.
- Price: 10.000 DKK – The cost of the trip is this low, because everyone participating will organize their own trip in terms of hotel and flight. The fee is to cover travel-expenses in San Francisco/Silicon Valley and expenses in relation to our meetings.
